SISIMAN BEACH MARIVELES, BATAAN

I was delighted to have spent one awestruck day with my friends in one of the most wonderful places in Mariveles, Bataan - The Sisiman Beach. It is a public beach in Mariveles composed of different cottages made by the residents near the beach.
Sisiman Beach is 3.5 ride from Manila to Mariveles via Genesis Transit. The fare costs 290 pesos per head. The conductor dropped us off at the Baseco Compound/SSS Building. We boarded a tricycle going to the Inn where we will stay (It's located at Brgy. Sisiman). The fare costs 60 pesos for 4 persons.
We checked in at 2pm but since it's still freaking hot, we opted to take a rest for a while. After 2.5 hour, we decided to go to Sisiman Beach.
After a 15-20 minute walk, we reached Sisiman Beach. Wow, it was indeed wonderful! Going here at 4:30pm was one of the best decisions we ever made. It's no longer hot and the view is just breath-taking! I really had fun taking photos of the mountain that looks like Toblerone. Yes, you've heard it right! It looks like Toblerone. It's one of the most sublime mountains I have ever seen in my whole life.
I was filled with awe and reverence upon seeing the Sisiman Beach and the Lighthouse. It was so beautiful and picturesque.
The old lighthouse was destroyed by Typhoon Pedring in 2011. So what you are seeing now is the newly constructed lighthouse. It's as amazing as it is in the pictures, though not as iconic as the one it replaced.
According to some blogs that I have read, the best time to go to Sisiman Beach is sunset or sunrise. Since we wanted to see the sunset, we opted to go in the late afternoon. The sunset is so enchanting. Grabbed the opportunity to take photos with the sunset. Here are some of my snapshots:
Our experience to Mariveles, Bataan was awesome. So blissful to have visited and seen the place where the people of Mariveles are truly proud of.
